Canyon Trail

Last weekend we went up to Waimea Canyon to go hiking again.  It is really enjoyable to hike there because the temperature is cooler because of the higher elevation.  We chose to hike Canyon trail, which was about a 5 mile long trail.  We saw some great views of the canyon!  We are discovering that there are tons of trails in the mountains and it is much more fun than just going to the lookout points off the side of the road.

Somehow this one lonely tree grew on the edge of the cliff.

If you look closely you can see a cool looking stone arch on the edge of the cliff.

There were a few small pools of icy mountain water and small waterfalls at the end of the trail.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
